She made a vow and said, "O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a son, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and a razor shall never come on his head."
1 Samuel 1:27
"For this boy I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of Him.
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honor Me."
O You who hear prayer, To You all men come.
"He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: "Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons, And you shall commit to Me the work of My hands.
"Then you will call, and the LORD will answer; You will cry, and He will say, 'Here I am.' If you remove the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness,
"It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.
But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your petition has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will give him the name John.
Sarai was barren; she had no child.
Abram said, "O Lord GOD, what will You give me, since I am childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?"
And Abram said, "Since You have given no offspring to me, one born in my house is my heir."
So Sarai said to Abram, "Now behold, the LORD has prevented me from bearing [children]. Please go in to my maid; perhaps I will obtain children through her." And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.
"I will bless her, and indeed I will give you a son by her. Then I will bless her, and she shall be [a mother of] nations; kings of peoples will come from her."
Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, "Will a child be born to a man one hundred years old? And will Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear [a child]?"
And Abraham said to God, "Oh that Ishmael might live before You!"
But God said, "No, but Sarah your wife will bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.
1 Samuel 1:2

2 Chronicles 33:13
When he prayed to Him, He was moved by his entreaty and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD [was] God.
So we fasted and sought our God concerning this [matter], and He listened to our entreaty.
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them.
What the wicked fears will come upon him, But the desire of the righteous will be granted.
And not only this, but there was Rebekah also, when she had conceived [twins] by one man, our father Isaac;
for though [the twins] were not yet born and had not done anything good or bad, so that God's purpose according to [His] choice would stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls,
it was said to her, "THE OLDER WILL SERVE THE YOUNGER."
