Now these are the names of the sons of Israel who came to Egypt with Jacob; they came each one with his household:

Reuben, Simeon, Levi and Judah;

Issachar, Zebulun and Benjamin;
4
Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher.

All the persons who came from the loins of Jacob were seventy in number, but Joseph was [already] in Egypt.

Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazer-hatticon, which is by the border of Hauran.

"The boundary shall extend from the sea [to] Hazar-enan [at] the border of Damascus, and on the north toward the north is the border of Hamath. This is the north side.
Numbers 34:7-9

Dan
Genesis 30:3-6

She said, "Here is my maid Bilhah, go in to her that she may bear on my knees, that through her I too may have children."

Bilhah conceived and bore Jacob a son.

Then Rachel said, "God has vindicated me, and has indeed heard my voice and has given me a son." Therefore she named him Dan.

Judges 18:26-29

So the sons of Dan went on their way; and when Micah saw that they were too strong for him, he turned and went back to his house.

Then they took what Micah had made and the priest who had belonged to him, and came to Laish, to a people quiet and secure, and struck them with the edge of the sword; and they burned the city with fire.

And there was no one to deliver [them], because it was far from Sidon and they had no dealings with anyone, and it was in the valley which is near Beth-rehob. And they rebuilt the city and lived in it.

They called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father who was born in Israel; however, the name of the city formerly was Laish.
2 Samuel 24:2
The king said to Joab the commander of the army who was with him, "Go about now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, and register the people, that I may know the number of the people."
1 Kings 12:28
