And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.
In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city; He sets up walls and ramparts for security.
"Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter, The one that remains faithful.
"Moreover, I will make your battlements of rubies, And your gates of crystal, And your entire wall of precious stones.
"Your gates will be open continually; They will not be closed day or night, So that [men] may bring to you the wealth of the nations, With their kings led in procession.
It had a great and high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names [were] written on them, which are [the names] of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.
[There were] three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west.
And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
In the daytime (for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed;
